The term navratna is derived from the Sanskrit compound word which means “Nine Gems”. Diamonds, Rubies, Emerald, Coral, Pearl, Yellow Saffire, Blue Saffire, Hessonite and Cats Eye constitutes the Navratnas. A strikingly elegant navratna neck piece is constituted of nine square shaped panels with each gem in the center, perimetered by small diamond squares.
